When did the rain explain "drink" to the earth,
and the earth explain "grow" to the seed?

THAT'S ALL THERE IS

♥ A letter from MOM and DAD

My Child,

When I get old, I hope you understand and have patience with me

In case I break a plate,
or spill soup on the table because I'm loosing my eyesight,
I hope you don't yell at me.
Older people are sensitive.
..always having selfpity when you yell

When my hearing gets worse and i cant hear what you're saying,
I hope you don't call me "Deaf!"
please repeat what you said or write it down

I'm sorry, my Child.
...I'm getting older
When my knees get weaker,
I hope you have the patience to help me get up
Like how I used to help you while you were little,
Learning how to walk.

Please bear with me
When I keep repeating myself like a broken record,
I hope you just keep listening to me
Please don't make fun of me
or
get sick of listening to me

Do you remember when you were little and you wanted a balloon?
You repeated youself over and over until you got what you wanted

...... Please also pardon my smell.
I smell like an old person
Please don't force me to shower.
My body is weak.

Old people get sick easily when they're cold.
I hope i don't gross you out.

Do you remember when you were little?
I used to chase you around because you didn't want to shower.

I hope you can be patient with me
When I'm always cranky
It's all part of getting old.
You'll understand when you're older

And if you have spare time,
I hope we can talk, Even for a few minutes

I'm always all by my self all the time.
and have no one to talk to
I know you're busy with work
Even if you're not interested in any stories,
Please have time for me.

Do you remember when you were little?
I used to listen to your stories about your teddy bear.
When the time comes and I get ill and bedridden,
I hope you have the patience to take care of me.

IM SORRY
if i accidentally wet the bed or make a mess
I hope you have the patience to take care of me during the last few moments of my life
Im not going to last much longer, anyways
When the time of my death comes,
I hope you hold my hand and give me the strength to face death
And don't worry...
When i finally meet our Creator...
I will whisper in his ear
to BLESS you

Because you loved your Mom and Dad.
Thanks you so much for your care.
We love you.

with much love,
Mom and Dad

Please don't leave your Parents alone.
And LOVE THEM !

When you learn how to die, you learn how to live.

Death ends a life, not a relationship.

Sometimes you cannot believe what you see, you have to believe what you feel. And if you are ever going to have other people trust you, you must feel that you can trust them, too - even when you're in the dark. Even when you're falling.

We must love one another or die.

No one exists alone.

Never Give Up Movie

Never Give Up Movie: We cannot place limits on what we are capable of doing, because we often don't know our own potential. Arthur Boorman was a disabled veteran of the Gulf War for 15 years, and was told by his doctors that he would never be able to walk on his own, ever again. They were wrong...

Gabrielle Roth "Embodiment"

One Art

by Elizabeth Bishop

The art of losing isn't hard to master;
so many things seem filled with the intent
to be lost that their loss is no disaster.

Lose something every day. Accept the fluster
of lost door keys, the hour badly spent.
The art of losing isn't hard to master.

Then practice losing farther, losing faster:
places, and names, and where it was you meant
to travel. None of these will bring disaster.

I lost my mother's watch. And look! my last, or
next-to-last, of three loved houses went.
The art of losing isn't hard to master.

I lost two cities, lovely ones. And, vaster,
some realms I owned, two rivers, a continent.
I miss them, but it wasn't a disaster.

--Even losing you (the joking voice, a gesture
I love) I shan't have lied. It's evident
the art of losing's not too hard to master
though it may look like (Write it!) like disaster.

One day,
a long time from now,
you’ll cease to care any more whom you please
or what anybody has to say about you.
That’s when you’ll finally produce the work you’re capable of.

Ben jij het beperkte, gemankeerde wezen
waar je gedachten je in willen laten geloven?
Of ben je het bewustzijn dat vrij is van deze gedachten;

“When I’m really into a novel, I’m seeing the world differently during that time - not just for the hour or so in the day when I get to read. I’m actually walking around in a haze, spellbound by the book and looking at everything through a different prism.”

niet rekenen en tellen;

The Power of Music - Henry Wakes Up!

Abel Korzeniowski - Song of Time

In ongelukkige omstandigheden

One is everlastingly comparing oneself with another, with what one is, with what one should be, with someone who is more fortunate.
This comparison really kills.
Comparison is degrading, it perverts one's outlook.
And on comparison one is brought up.
All our education is based on it and so is our culture.
So there is everlasting struggle to be something other than what one is.
The understanding of what one is uncovers creativeness, but comparison breeds competitiveness, ruthlessness, ambition, which we think brings about progress.
Progress has only led so far to more ruthless wars and misery than the world has ever known.
To bring up children without comparison is true education."

Life had gone on.
It always did.
That’s what you learned as you got older.
Time. It kept moving.
You couldn’t stop it.
You couldn’t go back to the moments you wished you could change.
They were gone.
They left you in a snap.

Elizabeth Lesser "Change"

British Street Gang Attack - Merci Frieda !

There would be no chance at all of getting to know death if it happened only once. But fortunately, life is nothing but a continuing dance of birth and death, a dance of change. Every time I hear the rush of a mountain stream, or the waves crashing on the shore, or my own heartbeat, I hear the sound of impermanence. These changes, these small deaths, are our living links with death. They are death’s pulses, death’s heartbeat, prompting us to let go of all the things we cling to.

The whole of life is just like watching a film.

Only it’s as though you always get in ten minutes after the big picture has started, and no-one will tell you the plot, so you have to work it out all yourself from the clues.

Patti Smith Within You Without You

We were talking about the space between us all
And the people who hide themselves behind a wall of illusion
Never glimpse the truth, then it's far too late, when they pass away
We were talking about the love we all could share
When we find it, to try our best to hold it there with our love
With our love, we could save the world, if they only knew

Try to realise it's all within yourself
No one else can make you change
And to see you're really only very small
And life flows on within you and without you

We were talking about the love that's gone so cold
And the people who gain the world and lose their soul
They don't know, they can't see, are you one of them?

When you've seen beyond yourself then you may find
Peace of mind is waiting there
And the time will come when you see we're all one
And life flows on within you and without you

- Patti Smith - Within You Without You -

Beste,

Hundreds of thousands of people!
You have to keep the door open so they can come in!
But it also means you have to let them go!

Martha Graham Light(part1)

Er is een vitaliteit, een levenskracht
Een energie, een impuls
Die door jou vertaald wordt
In actie
En omdat er maar één jij is
In alle tijden
Is deze expressie uniek
En als je ze blokkeert
Zal ze in geen enkele andere
Uitingsvorm ooit bestaan
De wereld zal ze niet kennen
Het is niet aan jou om
Te bepalen hoe goed ze is
Of hoe waardevol
Andere expressievormen
Het is aan jou om te zorgen dat ze
De jouwe blijft
Zuiver en direct
Het is aan jou
Om het Kanaal open te houden.

People have the right to think and say whatever they want to.
But you have the right not to take it to heart, and not to react.
When you allow a person's words to upset you,
you're giving away your power.

- Phillip C. McGraw -  Dr. Phil Getting Real -

Detachment

And never have I felt so deeply at one
and the same time so detached from myself
and so present in the world."

- Albert Camus
Y'know it's funny, I spend a lot of time trying to not have to deal... to not really commit.
I'm a substitute teacher, there's no real responsibility to teach.
Your responsibility is to maintain order, make sure nobody kills anybody in your classroom,
and then they get to their next period.

I was in my room for 2 hours and saw one parent.
Where are they? Where is everybody?
It's uncanny, no air raid sirens, not bombs.
It doesn't happen that way. It starts with a whisper, and then nothing.

[DOUBLETHINK is on the blackboard, from Orwell's "1984".
When none of the students knows what it means he tells them]
It's deliberately believing in lies while knowing they're false.

I don't remember much, I lost the habit.
You can't think in this place, you can't make new memories.

Whatever is on my mind, I say it as I feel it,
I'm truthful to myself; I'm young and I'm old,
I've been bought and I've been sold, so many times.
I am hard-faced, I am gone. I am just like you.

That bag doesn't have any feelings.
It's empty.
I don't have any feelings that you can hurt either. Okay.
I understand your angry.
I used to be very angry too, okay, I get it.
You have no reason to be angry with me because,
I'm among the few people let's see tryin' to give you an opportunity.
Now im'na ask you to just seat down, and do your best,
and I'll give you a piece of paper, how is that?

Some of us, believed that we can make a difference,
and then sometimes, we wake up,
and we realized, we failed.

- Detachment -
