Struggle is just another word for growth. Even the
most evolved beings find themselves in a place of struggle now and then.
In fact, struggle is a sure sign to them that they are expanding; it is
their indication of real and important progress. The only one who
doesn’t struggle is the one who doesn’t grow. So if you are struggling
right now, see it as a terrific sign — celebrate your struggle.

Just because things happen slow
doesn't mean you'll be ready for them.
If they happened fast,
you'd be alert for all kinds of suddenness,
aware
that speed was trump.
"Slow" works in an altogether different
principle,
on the deceptive impression that there's plenty of time to
prepare,
which conceals the central fact,
that no matter how slow things
go,
you'll always be slower.

De grootste opdracht en uitdaging in mijn leven
is omgaan met DIT moment,
want DIT moment is mijn énige échte contact met het leven.
Ik hoef dus niet te proberen,
om problemen die zich nog niet voordoen,
en misschien ook nooit zullen gebeuren,
op te lossen.
De toekomst bestaat alleen in mijn gedachten.
Er IS alleen maar DIT moment,
de rest is bullshit.

When you go out into the woods and you look
at trees,
you see all these different trees.
And some of them are bent,
and some of them are straight,
and some of them are evergreens,
and some
of them are whatever.
And you look at the tree and you allow it.
You
appreciate it.
You see why it is the way it is.
You sort of understand
that it didn’t get enough light,
and so it turned that way.
And you
don’t get all emotional about it.
You just allow it.
You appreciate the
tree.
The minute you get near humans, you lose all that.
And you are
constantly saying ‘You’re too this, or I’m too this.’
That judging mind
comes in.
And so I practice turning people into trees.
Which means
appreciating them just the way they are."
Zoals Bernard Dewulf een tijdje geleden zo mooi in deze krant schreef:

Hoe zit het uiteindelijk?
Gaat iedereen dood als een kind?'
Ik begin het te geloven. Nooit raken we van ze af.
