You are beginning to understand, aren’t you?
That the whole world is inside you:
in your perspectives
and in your heart…
That to be able to find peace,
you must be at peace with yourself first;
And to truly enjoy life, you must enjoy who you are;
And once you learn how to master this,
you will be protected from everything
that makes you feel like you can not go on,
that with this gift of recognizing yourself,
even when you are alone,
you will never be lonely….

Het is even
polariteit valt weg. Het is een liefde zonder tegendeel.
Degene
gevonden. Gezegend zijn de mislukkelingen.

Whenever I’m going through a difficult time, like a breakup, and I’m wishing to be the person who could get over it and move on, I tell myself to be that person.
Instead of waiting to be inspired by someone else and being jealous that they’re living a life I wish I had, I tell myself not to wait for that moment and to start being the person I want to be.

Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart. Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow. Let me hold you while I may, for it may not always be so. One day I shall dig my nails into the earth, or bury my face in the pillow, or stretch myself taut, or raise my hands to the sky and want, more than all the world, your return.

Freethinkers are those who are willing to use their minds without prejudice and without fearing to understand things that clash with their own customs, privileges, or beliefs. This state of mind is not common, but it is essential for right thinking...

All
feelings are negotiable. Even the most intense feelings of pain, fear,
tiredness and, even air-hunger (the urge to breath), are perceptions
inside you. Alex Hutchinson in his book ‘Endure’ shows that our supposed
physiological limits are deeply dependant on context and prior
learning.
With practice, it is possible to modulate, and eventually shift, even the most stuck and scary feelings inside you. This is a radical concept, but it is a consistent theme emerging from researchers in pain, tiredness, breathing and anxiety.
Start by learning to feel the baseline sensations of the size, shape and weight of your body. Establish feelings of safety and health, even if they are only hinted at or feel very far away. Dig deep, it can be tricky if you have been disconnected from feeling for a while.
Try to remember peak experiences in you life. How do you know what joy and ease feel like? You are not alone if finding simple words for sensations is hard at the start, most of my clients struggle initially!
Once you have a baseline of resourcing feelings, be curious about the scary, difficult stuff. Go slow, take breaks and always make sure you have part of your awareness anchored in your resources.
Don’t grab on to the feelings and don’t try and change them. Just be curious; ‘This is how my body feels right now’, ‘This is me right now’. Appreciate that your body and brain are working hard to protect you, but sometimes they get stuck with noisy alarm signals and difficult action patterns.
Try negotiating with what you feel from a place of curiosity rather than fear. Paradoxically, just noticing intense sensations from a safe perspective is frequently enough for them to change. Good luck, you might be surprised.

Our ego wants to ‘attach’ to external praise, while it wants to ‘avert’
criticism. It’s unhealthy to be dependent on outside approval in this
way, and it’s also not conducive to healthy relationships. Defensive
thinking cuts us off from the present and prevents us from dealing with
others authentically, since we’re focused on getting a certain reaction
from them, not simply engaging with them. Also, it’s fruitless to try to
avert criticism, since it’s inevitable. And we can’t always be sure
someone’s actually criticizing us. As I dug deeper, I discovered that,
all too often, I projected my trauma-induced inner critic into the
actions or words of people around me. I attributed random talk and
actions to some larger rejection of me, when the only person
consistently rejecting and criticizing me was, in fact, myself.

Reflect
on this: The realization of impermanence is paradoxically the only thing we can
hold on to, perhaps our only lasting possession. It is like the sky, or the
earth. No matter how much everything around us may change or collapse, they
endure.
Say
we go through a shattering emotional crisis . . . our whole life seems to be
disintegrating . . . our husband or wife suddenly leaves us without warning. The
earth is still there; the sky is still there. Of course, even the earth trembles
now and again, just to remind us that we cannot take anything for granted. . .

Develop an interest in life as you see it;
the people, things, literature, music - the world is so rich,
simply throbbing with rich treasures,
souls and interesting people.
Forget yourself.Henry Miller

The truth is, we don’t really want to be free from desire or to admit that clinging to the pleasures of the senses—the taste of delicious food; the sound of music, gossip, or a joke; the touch of a sexual embrace—ends unavoidably in disappointment and suffering. We don’t have to deny that pleasant feelings are pleasurable. But we must remember that like every other feeling, pleasure is impermanent.- Bhante Gunaratana -
Do you see that everything in the universe
is simply doing its dance…
i.e., expressing itself the only way it can,
and this is happening in every moment…
Seeing this clearly brings
instant relaxation and peace. Why?
Because if everything is doing
the only dance it can,
what is there to worry about?
