I came out early, oh, ever so early.

Nobody was up, the birds weren't up and even the sun wasn't up.

And everything was so still that there was no sound in all the world, except just the wind in the willows, whispering ever so gently.

- A.A. Milne -

When your mental health isn't in the best state, give yourself a break.

Don't feel guilty about things you can't do.

Normal things like eating, sleeping, or socializing may be difficult.

It's okay to struggle.

Rest, recover, be kind to yourself & know the bad times are temporary.

 Growth never happens

until you start being honest with yourself

about your negative habits and mistakes.

Eddie Vedder - No Ceiling (Lyric Music Video) HD

Your unhappiness ultimately arises

not from the circumstances of your life

but from the conditioning of your mind.

The price you pay for ignoring your intuition

is far greater than the cost of trusting it.

Your body can pick up bad vibrations:

If you’re listening to a song

and something about it feels wrong, turn it off.

If a situation/opportunity doesn't feel right, walk way.

Trust your gut.

Give yourself more credit.

You’re trying to grow while trying to heal.

You’re trying to forgive while trying to grieve.

You're trying to search while trying to let go.

And you're trying to love others while remembering how to love yourself.

You are doing the best you can.

 To protect our inner peace,

we must learn to observe,

not absorb.

You can run as far and as fast as you like

But when you sit down for a rest

You, your past, and everything still undone

Will be there, sitting right next to you

Saying hi, how you doing?

 Quietly observe this imagined existence.

We cannot empty the mind by thinking.

Only by observation.

 I open my eyes,

And become the world.

No longer apart from it - but

A part of it.

KORT

niet langer dan

een ademtocht

lang is dat niet,

kijk maar,

 ik deed het weer

zolang al hou ik van je

en dan niet zomaar even,

nee

de hele tijd als nu,

en nu,

en verder nog,

denk ik,

mijn hele leven.

In a meadow full of flowers

you cannot walk through

and breathe those smells

 and see all those colors

 and remain angry.

We have to support the beauty,

 the poetry of life.

Nothing behind me,

My approach to what I do in my job…and it might even be the approach to my life…is that everything I do is the most important thing I do.

Whether it’s a play or the next film.

It is the most important thing.

I know it’s not going to be the most important thing, and it might not be close to being the best, but I have to make it the most important thing.

That means I will be ambitious with my job and not with my career.

That’s a very big difference…because if I’m ambitious with my career, everything I do now is just stepping-stones leading to something…a goal I might never reach, and so everything will be disappointing.

But if I make everything important, then eventually it will become a career.

Big or small, we don’t know.

But at least everything was important.

Doing any simple action with delight looks ritualistic.

If you watch a very skilled craftsman at work, or a surgeon, or a good dentist, or a shoemaker, or a potter who thoroughly loves the work, you notice their caressing hands, the delight, the dance they do; to do this thing.

The doing of it is more important than the done-ing of it.

You see, they look ritualistic in their action.

It’s a ceremony, and you think he’s worshiping some kind of a God.

That’s because he’s turned the rat race into the mandala.

So you can do that with everything if you’re not in a hurry.

And you’re not in a hurry if you know there’s nowhere to go!

I mean, here’s the end of the line, and there’s a place called death and a tombstone on it that says, “Well, he did it once.”

We write his name on the tombstone.

That’s the end.

 That’s where you’re going.
