Wegfietsend vraag ik me nog
even af waar men zo geconcentreerd is als bij de tandarts. Waar men zich
zo bewust is van zijn ademhaling, van de wijze waarop men ligt, van de
kleding die men aanheeft, van de mate van geschorenheid en algemene
verzorgingsgraad. Dat heldere bewustzijn, die volkomen overgave – hoe
goed zou het zijn om vaker, al was het maar een kwartier, zo door te
brengen, en ook de kleinste gewaarwording het volle pond te geven.
