Hoe dat precies moet, leven, daar ben ik nog niet helemaal achter, maar ik kan redelijk goed doen alsof. Dat is een begin, vind ik. 

 

Ik kan ook verdienstelijk uitleggen aan anderen hoe het misschien zou moeten, en daar wordt soms naar geluisterd, merk ik, wat mij dan een beetje verbaast.

Veel mensen zijn bang voor de stilte.

Maar wat ze in werkelijkheid vrezen is niet de stilte,

maar de verdrongen dingen in henzelf die zich

in de stilte zouden kunnen tonen.

Door ervoor op de loop te gaan ziet men niet

dat er feitelijk niets is om bang voor te zijn.

Het ergste wat er kan gebeuren is een gedachte.
