I know it’s hard when on the outside you look ok, but on
the inside you are suffering.
When you have invisible scars it’s not easy because people put expectations on you, they judge you, and in the end it make your struggle harder.
If you have invisible wounds I want you to know that they are layers in the deep dimensions of who you have become.
Stand in your truth and ignore what other people may assume or say about you.
It doesn’t matter.
The only thing that matters is that you are grounded in the truth and know that you are not alone.

We have this expression in English that says "you should be ashamed of yourself”.
We'll examine that for a moment.
Should anyone be ashamed of their selves?
If I had promised to come and give you a course today, but I stood you up, didn’t show up, or came very late.
I should be experiencing some healthy shame.
That’s not a shame about the self, that’s a shame about something I’ve done.
And that’s a good thing to own.
Yes I did that.
It’s my responsibility.
I can’t deny that.
But that’s not the same as being ashamed of ones self.
Nobody should be ashamed of oneself, and there’s a distinction between being ashamed of what you do and what you’ve done and who you are and what you are.

Twee jonge vissen zijn aan het zwemmen
en op een goed moment komt hen een oudere vis tegemoet
die hen groet met de woorden:
'Dag jongens. Hoe is het water?'
De twee jonge vissen zwemmen door,
kijken elkaar aan en zeggen:
'Wat is in godsnaam water?'
De kern van het verhaaltje over de vissen is simpelweg
dat de meest voor de hand liggende, overal aanwezige
en belangrijkste werkelijkheden
vaak het moeilijkst te begrijpen en te bespreken zijn.
